The Abstract Self (Ages 13-17)

Investigate the abstract self by exploring beyond our physical appearance and how others perceive us. Explore a series of intuitive and insightful exercises to help create or hone your own visual “voice”. Experiment with a range of materials and techniques such as painting, drawing, collage, and more.

3D Animation (Ages 13-17)
Instructor: Adam Parker
Get an introduction into the world of 3D animation as seen in movies such as Inside Out and Frozen. Explore the principles of this new medium by using Blender – a cutting-edge 3D application. Create your own character animations and look at the history of animated movie productions for inspiration.

Teen Art LAB (Ages 13-17)

Hang out and make art at MOCA. Experiment with a variety of both traditional and unconventional art materials, techniques and ideas that empower YOU to create connections to contemporary art and culture. You will be introduced to new techniques, contemporary artists and the MOCA galleries as a point of departure for this fun, interactive class. Use these inspirations as a jumping off point to create your own personal expressions or make a special request for something you would like to learn or explore. …the choice is up to YOU!
