Balance in Drawing and Painting

Instructor: James O’Connor
Want to take your artwork to the next level? Understanding the formal qualities of your work can be key. Balance is  the visual weight of objects, colors, textures, and space and can be the most challenging part of creating a work of art.
Explore how to stabilize elements of art and principles of design to achieve harmony in two dimensional work. Students will learn how to master balance through composition and form exercises in drawing and painting. This class will concentrate on techniques rather than medium exploration and is designed for students who have painting and/or drawing experience.
