Join us for a food styling and photography workshop led by the dynamic duo Mary Kaufman of Bluebird’s Garage and Zoe Grant of Andi and Zoe Photographers. Mary and Zoe will share their style and photography philosophy as participants observe and practice in this hands-on workshop held at Esoteric. This workshop will assist budding food stylists, bloggers, and photographers who want to capture food at its best and take their skills to the next level. Discover how the right approach to styling, props, composition, and natural light can transform your images. The workshop will conclude with a discussion and a three-course lunch together prepared by the chefs at Esoteric. Please bring your own digital camera with manual capabilities. Students must be comfortable using their manual settings on their camera.

About Mary Kaufman and Zoe Grant:

Mary Kaufman is the owner and creative director behind Bluebird's which specializes in creative visual content. Mary is a Virginia Beach native and started her business in the creative industry as the first vintage rental business in coastal VA. She used this platform to elevate her business and hone her talent as a prop stylist. She now works as the Creative Director for the local publication The Scout Guide VA Beach & Norfolk. Mary's studio, Bluebird's, is located at the oceanfront in the heart of the ViBe District and she loves collaborating with other creatives. Mary and Zoe Grant started a networking event for local creatives called Creative Union that promotes creative community and cross promotion. They even share an office together so that they can work closely on their special projects!

Zoe Grant is a photographer and content creator for many local brands and businesses. She started her journey in the creative world at a young age and has now been perfecting her craft for nine years. Zoe started working alongside her mother shooting weddings and her work has since evolved into portraits and branded content. Her creative eye allows her the freedom to shoot many different subjects and have allowed her and Mary's partnership to flourish as they have gotten to work on many different projects together.
