Heather Bryant: Grasp

September 11 - December 31, 2015

Artist Heather Bryant exhibits a new direction for her work this September at Virginia MOCA. Bryant is most well known for her stark, engaging lithographs. Bryant continues to expand her studio practice and explore new avenues of art making.  In her new work, color takes center stage. Flecked watercolors, deep and intense, suggest a connection with the cosmos. Figures with faces like masks embrace, fight, struggle and grasp. We get the opportunity to share and delight as Bryant explores this facet of her work.

Heather Bryant is based in Norfolk, VA. Bryant has shown her work in galleries and institutions locally and across the country.

Organized by the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art. Curated by Heather Hakimzadeh, Curator.
