Saturday in the Studio (Ages 6-8)

Instructor: Donna Iona Drozda
Young artists explore and create using drawing, paint­ing and mixed media techniques and materials such as pencil, charcoal, pen and ink, and watercolor and oil pastel resist painting. Each artist is given the opportunity to learn more about where his or her creative interests lie by having access to a variety of materials and methods.

Saturday in the Studio (Ages 9-12)

Instructor: Donna Iona Drozda
Young artists are free to find their own unique creative path while exploring pattern, design, and form. Each artist is given the opportunity to learn more about where their creative interests lie by having access to a variety of materials and methods such as pencil, charcoal, pen and ink, watercolor and oil pastel resist painting, papier mâché and plaster. Students will also explore the MOCA galleries and look to exhibiting artists for inspiration. At the end of the course each young artist will leave with a final project of their own design which could be anything from a collection of drawings to a sculpture using recycled materials.

Homeschool

MOCArt Studio (ages 6-12)

Homeschooled students will dive into art by creating their own masterpieces, experimenting with materials, discussing artwork, and experiencing MOCA exhibits!  Young artists explore and create using drawing, painting and mixed media techniques and materials such as pencil, charcoal, pen and ink, watercolor and oil pastel resist painting, papier mâché and plaster. Each artist is given the opportunity to learn more about where his or her creative interests lie by having access to a variety of materials and methods.

Open to ages 5 and up of all levels of experience who are interested in making something by hand and having a fun Sunday afternoon!  No art experience is necessary. Both children and parent/guardian must pre-register.
